HYPER JAPAN 2011 will be hosting the UK Sushi Roll Championship, a UK-only version of the renowned Sushi Awards created especially for HYPER JAPAN! This is your chance to help decide the best of the best in the UK, as chefs from Japanese restaurants in the UK roll up to create the ultimate sushi.
Held on Friday 22nd, Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th July at Olympia Two, London, the UK Sushi Awards 2011 will be a great day out for fans of all types of Japanese food and culture, you can be sure that Japan Centre will be there to watch these masters at work!
Many of Japan Centre‘s friends are organising some great events to help the cause in Japan by collecting money for donations.
These music and dnace performance events will be a fun evening for a fantastic cause, so check them all out and see if you can show your support by attending.
WHAT IS JAFF?!
JAFF is short for Japan Food Festival, a month long celebration in collaboration with JETRO and Japan Centre where we offer an insight into locally produced food from all over Japan.
If you have always wanted to experience the smooth and complex tastes of traditional Japanese Sake, then why not join us and do so for absolutely nothing at our FREE sake tasting event.
We have a rather special sake available for tasting this time called Umenoyado Yuzu Sake. This sake is from Nara and is infused with the Japanese yuzu fruit, a citrus fruit similar to orange and lemon which gives it refreshing, sharp and slightly sweet taste.
